What MK said as a junior in high school!
It all started in 6th grade, when I realized I no longer wanted to be on the high school dance squad someday, instead I wanted to play volleyball. I knew that playing volleyball at our 5A Coppell High School would be a challenge. I started training with Ruth Nelson, a former D1 college coach, and she soon made me realize that instead of setting my goal at playing high school volleyball, I should focus on playing at the college level. That is exactly what I have done. In the past 5 years of playing school/club ball, I have developed a very strong work ethic. I am always open to any opportunity to train, on the court or in the pool. I have had to work very hard at time management, balancing my school work with my training. As a growing 6’ player (my dad is 6’9” and my mom is 6’) I am a very coachable, versatile, front row player, having had success at OH, MB and RS. I was the Most Improved Player as a freshman on JV, and this year I was the MVP Offensive Player on JV, and also welcomed the opportunity at a spot on Varsity, for the 2011 Play-off season. I was fortunate to be a part of winning State, at the 5A level. I believe that with continued hard work and dedication, I can be an asset to your team.
